Mariah Carey Thought She Looked "Racid" While Pregnant

She annoys me beyond belief & her stupid comments don't make it any better.

42-year-old singer Mariah Carey is currently making her rounds promoting herself as the new Jenny (formerly Jenny Craig) spokesperson. She was recently interviewed by Gayle King at a NY media appearance and stated she's lost a whopping 70 lbs since having her twins.

According to her, she didn't care much for her body while pregnant and was somewhat disgusted by it, claiming she refused to allow her husband Nick Cannon to see her unless she was covered up first.
"I had a towel on in the tub," Carey, who gave birth in April, says. "I’m not lying, I promise you! You think I would let Nick see me looking rancid like that?
Carey says she gauges her weight by dress size and her appearance in the mirror and although she knew she'd gained weight while pregnant, she stayed in the dark about how many pounds she's actually gained.
"I didn’t want to know, because why would I want to feel that bad?" she explained. "I know it was a number that I never want to see again."
"I had, like, no bones for a while," she says, gesturing to her collarbone. "It's important to me to feel my bones!
She goes on to admit that she did overeat and cooked hearty italian meals and "soul food" throughout her pregnancy but that it was easy to overeat when you're eating for three.
"Maybe the portions weren’t what they should’ve been," she said. "Even as a pregnant woman you kind of have control over it, but you don’t feel like it when you’re pregnant."
After giving birth to her son & daughter, Carey says she lost 40 lbs in water weight and another 30 lbs with the help of the Jenny diet program.

Good for her but I think she's leaving out the part where a trainer comes everyday to make her work out, and a chef comes in to make sure she's eating right...of course losing weight is easy when you have money like she does.

Below is Carey's Jenny commercial.

Incredible weight loss: Mariah Carey has showed off her taut abs in an advert stepping into her role as the new ambassador for Jenny Craig

She has shed a whopping 70lbs in the past six months after giving birth to twins Moroccan and Monroe.

And Mariah Carey’s impressive weight loss is clear to see in a new photo in which she looks super slim and her stomach appears completely flat.

But is the singer's post-baby tum really as flat as it appears, or has the professionally shot photo benefited from a little help from the airbrush?

Flat as a pancake? The photo appears to have been airbrushed, but does Mariah's tummy look as flat in real life?

Wearing just a boob tube top and a low riding maxi skirt the singer revealed a very flat stomach devoid of stretch marks or any sign that she had given birth in recent months.

She has dropped an incredible 70lbs over recent months - with 40lbs being water lost due to her difficult pregnancy.

Conveniently, the 42-year-old mother-of-two unveiled her taut abs as it was announced that she was the new ambassador for diet company Jenny Craig.

The stunning photo saw her roll back the years revealing a body that would put ten years younger Britney Spears to shame.

But while she seemed keen to show off her stomach in the promotional shot, at the launch yesterday she kept it firmly under wraps in a slinky red dress with spaghetti-string straps.

Her new look was a marked contrast to her appearance at the start of the diet when she was much heavier.

The proud singer, now mother to Monroe and Morrocan has also graced the cover of Us Weekly magazine.

Wearing a very youthful outfit of white shorts and crop top she is pictured as part of an interview in which she reveals the low calorie diet plan which helped her beat the bulge.

She said she knew needed to lose weight after seeing a photograph of herself shortly after being visited by friend Reverend Al Sharpton in hospital.

'I looked at myself in the photo after and thought "Who on Earth is that?' Mind you, I thought I looked good at the time!'

Double trouble: Mariah's twins Monroe and Moroccan are seen in their baby carriers

Mariah began the regime with a 1500 calorie a day special menu and workouts three times a week.

'When I started, I got really strict with myself,' she told Us magazine.

'Losing weight is about eating what you like, just in the appropriate portion sizes.
I wouldn't say it was really hard, but it required focus and determination.

'The first week, I lost 40 lbs of just water. It was just water, initially. When I started with the programme, I lost at least 30 lbs of weight that needed to be lost.'

She works out for 45 minutes five to six times a week with Sunday as a rest day doing a mixture of cardio and aquatic workouts in water along with crunches, push-ups, triceps dips, lunges and squats.

Very slim: The 42-year-old mother-of-two is dressed in just a bandeau top and a black maxi skirt which is split on both sides up towards her hips

Looking good: She is seen gyrating her way out of a material cocoon which perhaps symbolises her body after losing the weight

However, the star had to wait six weeks before she could start the programme after giving birth to the adorable twins Monroe and Morrocan via Caesarean section.

She told the magazine: 'I gained an enormous amount of weight. I was scared I was never going to walk again.
'I feel incredible but it was a long road,' she says.

'Being pregnant felt longer than it was. It was a huge blessing to be able to have the babies but I felt trapped in my body because I couldn't move.'

Red alert: Mariah posed with Jenny Craig CEO Dana Fisher as she was announced as the Jenny Craig ambassador

'In our society we tend to just eat and eat because it's there. I'd love to sit around and eat whatever I want all day, but now I have to watch it.'

Mariah, who is married to America's Got Talent host Nick Cannon, gave birth to her twins Moroccan on April 30, the couple's third wedding anniversary.

'Even thought my weight loss was mainly from dieting, I'm never going to stop working out.

'It releases stress,' says Mariah, who says she'd like to return to her 2008 weight. I know I'm not going to look my thinnest every day, but I know how to get back there if I want to.'

Happy families: After a difficult pregnancy, Mariah Carey, pictured with husband Nick Cannon, is relishing motherhood to twins Moroccan and Monroe

Speaking to Rosie, she explained of her fight back to form: 'In the beginning, when I first had the babies, I had so much edema … water and swelling.

'Most pregnant woman have that just in their feet,' she explained.

'One day I was doing my thank-you notes and I noticed it started rising up the leg, so I had edema (oedema) I didn't think I would ever be the same person.'

Arriving in style: Mariah Carey made an appearance on Rosie O'Donnell's OWN television programme The Rosie Show last night where she talked about losing 70lbs since giving birth to twins in April

Looking good: The 42-year-old singer showed off her svelte figure in a short mini-dress and cleavage-baring leather jacket

Mariah said it was not just her appearance that gave her the motivation to get back into shape.

Daily tasks, such as going to the bathroom, were also difficult for the diva.
'I had a really tough pregnancy. I was supposed to be on bed rest, but it was so bad that even bed hurt,' she said.

'I learned a lot being pregnant, watching my body change.'
She added: 'The whole point of this is not just like: "Oh, hey, look at me and my weight loss, I'm fantastic." It's really health.'

Mariah Carey, Nick Cannon & Twins Dress Up For Halloween

Singer Mariah Carey, husband Nick Cannon, 6-month-old twins Monroe and Moroccan dressed up as The Incredibles in celebration of the Fresh Air Fund's Camp Mariah.

The camp helps inner-city kids explore educational and career options.

I could care less about these two but if there's one thing they did right was make some cute kiddos.

Nick Cannon Plans Eagle Surprise

Nick Cannon wants to give his wife Mariah Carey a "bald eagle".

The US rapper - who married the 'Touch My Body' singer last April - has revealed he is planning to give his wife a surprise gift for her 39th birthday on Friday (27.03.09).

But Mariah might be in for a shock, because as well being an endangered species, a "bald eagle" is also a slang term for someone with shaved pubic hair.

When asked what he was going to buy Mariah, Nick laughed: "I think I was going to get her a bald eagle or something. Yeah, they sell them bald eagles still right?"

Impressed by his own quip, Nick, 28, has named himself the "chairman of comedy".
He laughed: "Here's how we do it. I'm the chairman of comedy. Like any joke, I get money off of anybody telling jokes, from any joke ever told."

Nick is set to host the upcoming series of US TV show 'America's Got Talent'.

Mariah Carey Visits Fertility Clinic

Mariah Carey has been visiting a fertility clinic.

The 38-year-old singer and her husband Nick Cannon - who married last year following a whirlwind romance - were seen leaving a Beverly Hills' Southern California Reproductive Center last week, where they reportedly met with a prenatal specialist.

Nick and Mariah are trying anything and everything to conceive. After almost a year of trying to natural way, they visited a fertility clinic to help make their baby dream come true.
A source told gossip blogger Perez Hilton: "Nick and Mariah are trying anything and everything to conceive. After almost a year of trying to natural way, they visited a fertility clinic to help make their baby dream come true."

Mariah is said to be desperate to give birth before she turns 40 next March.

The renowned centre is one of the leading in vitro fertilisation (IVF) clinics in California.

Jennifer Lopez - who has one-year-old twins Max and Emme - is said to have been a previous patient.

The couple have made no secret of their desire to start a family, with Nick admitting he wants a large brood.

He said: "We'll multiply. That's what's got to happen."

Mariah has also revealed she is ready to become a mother, but finds the constant speculation about whether she is expecting tiresome.

She said: "I don't like to talk about it too much. I just think about it as the next phase. We'll see.

"I've changed my mind about becoming a mother because I'm with 'The One'. I think we would make good parents, and that we'd be able to figure out how to do it properly."

Mariah Carey: Second Chance

Even she has a successful career in selling records, Mariah Carey wants to prove everyone that she can do it so much better acting. Her leading role in semi-autobiographical "Glitter" was severely criticized by the specialists, earning only $5.3 million at global box offices.

In her new flick, "Push" which had its premiere this this past weekend at Sundance, Carey is playing a minor role this time as a welfare case worker.

The movie, based on a best-selling novel and directed by Lee Daniels who produced "Monster's Ball," reveals the story of a 16-year-old named "Precious" Jones who is twice impregnated by her father and is beaten by her mother.

Mrs. Weiss is sort of the eyes of the audience, the people who don't know anybody like this in their lives," Carey told reporters late Saturday.

"Yes it's her job ... but even someone who goes through that every day and sees these horrific things, she hears something that changes her," Carey said.

The 40 year-old singer is not all by herself, being helped by rocker Lenny Kravitz who's playing a nurse's aide who helps Precious deliver her second child. With this duo, if the movie won't be a box-office record breaker, at least the soundtracks will hit the charts.....

Mariah Carey's Obama anger

Mariah Carey was left "furious" after being told she wouldn't be sitting with US President Barack Obama's family during his inauguration.

The 'Touch My Body' singer - who performed at a ball to celebrate Obama being sworn in - was left aghast when she discovered she had to sit with other celebrities during Tuesday's (20.01.09) ceremony.

A source said: "Mariah was in the VIP area, where every celebrity, like Jon Bon Jovi, Mary J. Blige, Alicia Keys and Bruce Springsteen, was seated. But somehow she thought she'd be up with the Obama family. When she realised she wasn't, she bailed."

Rapper P. Diddy - who was so delighted to see Obama become America's first African-American President he blew kisses at him as he was being sworn in - was also said to be unhappy with the ceremony, because he wasn't asked to perform while rapper Jay-Z was.

However, a spokesman for Diddy, real name Sean Combs, has denied the allegations, saying: "It was one of the greatest moments of his life. Sean was invited to the inauguration and was seated third row, with Jay-Z, at the ceremony."

Mariah's publicist declined to comment.

Mariah Carey's carefree husband

Nick Cannon likes being known as "Mr. Carey".

The actor-and-rapper - who married Mariah Carey following a whirlwind romance last year - doesn't mind when people say his wife is more famous than him, claiming he just takes the teasing in his stride.

Asked how he feels when people say cruel things about his wife, Nick replied: "My heart goes out to my wife every time she has to hear something like that. I don't care about nothing, I'm just silly. I make fun of me all the time, I'm like, 'Call me Mr. Carey, who cares?' "

Nick added he feels "blessed" to be with Mariah.

He told US TV show 'Extra': "I'm blessed to have a partner that's truly one of those people that affect the world."

Mariah was equally as gushing about her husband, revealing the secret to the couple's happy relationship is that they are not afraid to tell each other exactly how they feel.

She said: "The secret to me is realising when you meet the right person and being brave enough to dive in and say this is the right person for me. We have fun like nobody's business."
