A TOWIE-free future? Reality TV star Lauren Goodger is considering quitting the ITV2 show
During the three series of The Only Way Is Essex, Lauren Goodger's storylines have centred on her rocky relationship with on/off boyfriend Mark Wright.
But with the club promoter now left the series and Goodger starting to build her own business empire, she admits she is seriously considering leaving the show.
The 25-year-old admitted she was emotionally drained by the third series and she thinks its the right time to leave TOWIE behind her.
The most recent series of the ITV2 'living soap' saw Goodger struggling to deal with the break-up of her 10 year romance with Wright, 24, and his burgeoning relationship with Sam Faiers.
Goodger tells Fabulous magazine: 'I came into this series feeling strong, confident and good about myself. I've left it feeling drained, tired, upset and with my self-esteem in pieces.
'I'm absolutely terrified about the prospect of quitting because it's been such a huge part of my life, but I've just turned 25 and I tihnk now is the time to consider other opportunities and see what else is out there for me.'
Earlier this year, Goodger launched her own range of tanning products called Lauren's Way and designed a clothing range for SimplyBe.co.uk.
On/off: Goodger and ex-fiancé Mark Wright at their engagement party, which was filmed for Series 2
She admits with her businesses and promotional work, she finds filming TOWIE tends to be a hindrance on her busy schedule.
She explained: 'I'm hoping to open a shop soon and wouldn't have time to think about that if I was back working 12-hour days filming for TOWIE. I was always having to cancel meetings because of commitments to the show.
'There's so much I want to do and TOWIE has opened doors for me. I'd never knock it.
'But thinking about walking away feels liberating, really refreshing.'
Tumultuous: One of Goodger and Wright's many blazing rows in a recent episode of The Only Way Is Essex
During the three series of TOWIE, Wright and Goodger have actually only been a couple during one series - when they went from being separated to engaged during a conversation in a pub car park in March.
But by August, their short-lived engagement was over when Wright dumped Goodger amidst allegations she cheated on him, which she has always vehemently denied.
The penultimate episode of the recent series saw Goodger and Faiers have a foul-mouthed slanging match during a party after the former accused the glamour model of being 'desperate' and 'a mug' for dating her ex.
